Suggestion One: We found these beautiful amber glass votive cups. They look incredible on the dinner table. Order one for each place setting. Or use your favorite style votive cup with a tea light. Tea lights should burn 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Plenty of time for most dinners.
Suggestion Two: Replace your fireplace grate with some pillar holders and varying height and shape pillars. Use one pillar that is scented to give the room a subtle fragrance. Add one of the metric tapers on the hearth for an even more 3 dimensional appearance, and to bring the light into the room.
Suggestion Three: Our heart shaped candle in a black velvet bag is a beautiful, romantic gift. Bring it, along with some nice sparkling wine or cider, to anyone you really want to romance. The lovely Peony fragrance will be certain to soften the mood.
Suggestion Four: Surprise someone you love with dinner for two and be sure to set the table with candles. Make sure your candles don't obstruct your view of each other. Floating candles interspersed with flowers or berries are beautiful. Or make a centerpiece of votives surrounded by greenery or fruit. (Keep greenery or fruit clear of the candle flame.) Enjoying one another by candlelight cannot be surpassed (unless?...).
